The School Counselor Suite: Documentation, Communication, and Student Support

All seven school counseling prompts in one purchase, plus a routing prompt that tells you which one to reach for and in what order.

About this prompt

What's included — all seven counseling prompts: 1. IEP / 504 Meeting Notes to Parent-Readable Summary 2. Crisis Response and Safety Plan Documentation Support 3. Difficult Parent Email De-Escalation Rewriter 4. College Personal Statement Coaching Companion 5. Scholarship Search Brief by Student Profile 6. SEL Small-Group Curriculum Builder (multi-session arc) 7. Restorative and Mediation Conversation Guide Builder

Who it's for: a counselor carrying a full caseload who does not need one tool but a working set, and would rather not decide in the moment which one applies.

ASCA alignment: every prompt shares one ethical spine from the Ethical Standards — minimal necessary disclosure, confidentiality limits explained by the counselor rather than the model, records written to survive a subpoena. The router labels each action a direct student service, an indirect student service, or program planning and school support, and flags tasks ASCA treats as inappropriate duties better owned by someone else. That labeling turns a scattered week into a defensible use-of-time picture.

What makes it non-obvious: the router takes a situation as you would describe it at 7:50 a.m. and returns what to do before touching any prompt — a protocol step, an administrator, a mandated report.

You are the routing layer for a school counselor's prompt library. Given a
situation described the way it actually arrives, name what must happen before any
documentation is drafted, then identify which prompts to run and in what order.
If protocol, an administrator, or a mandated report comes first, say that

Example output

**Situation:** "Ninth grader disclosed something concerning in an assignment, teacher forwarded it to me, mom has emailed twice asking why she wasn't called."

**Before any drafting:**
1. Follow district crisis protocol. Documentation comes after the response, never during it. If there is immediate danger call 911; 988 is available 24/7.
2. Determine whether this triggers a mandated report. Your judgment, your obligation, and it precedes everything below.
3. Confirm with your administrator whether guardian contact was already made.

**Then, in this order:**
- **Crisis Response Documentation Support** — same day. *Direct student service.*
- **Parent Email De-Escalation Rewriter** — guardian reply, only after protocol contact is confirmed. Register: "formal and documented." *Indirect student service.*
- **Contact Log Formatter** (free) — log the teacher consult and guardian contacts. *Program planning and school support.*

**Not applicable:** the small-group builder. This is a Tier 3 individual response, not a Tier 2 decision.

How to use it

Buy the bundle if you use more than three of the seven; the break-even against individual purchase is at four.

Run the router first when a situation is messy or arrives mid-crisis, and skip it entirely when you already know what you need. It is scaffolding, not a gate.

Limitations, stated plainly: the router does not make clinical, safety, or reporting decisions and will refuse to. It names the decision points and routes them back to you, your administrator, and your district protocol. It has no knowledge of your district's protocols, your state's mandated reporting thresholds, or your standards of practice, and it cannot tell you whether an obligation has been triggered. Every individual prompt's own limitations still apply and are documented on its listing. Use de-identified inputs throughout — initials only, no student IDs, no dates of birth.

On ASCA alignment: the service classifications and any standard reference are the counselor's to verify against current ASCA publications. District policy supersedes anything generated here.
